At Technebies we have a few fundamental guiding principles:
Technebies collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Technebies’ purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Technebies’ visitors use our website. From time to time, Technebies may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website. We use a third-party (Google Analytics) for this purpose.
With regards to potentially personally-identifying information, Technebies partly anonymize the IP address of website visitors. That is, the last octet of IPv4 addresses and the last 80 bits of IPv6 addresses are set to zero (see IP anonymization in Analytics).
All test takers are anonymous in our system; even user names are generated. The only potential personally-identifying information that is stored on our system is the optional email address. We strongly encourage test takers to use an anonymous address.
Before and after the skill test, the test takers are requested to answer a short survey. The surveys are anonymous and are only used to gather aggregate information. Survey data is not stored on our servers, instead it is handled by a third-party (Qualtrics).
